Imperial Herbary, operating as 'Gloucester Acupuncture & TCM', was founded in 2001 and is situated in the vibrant heart of Gloucester city centre. We specialize in Tuina, TCM osteopathy, acupuncture and herbal medicine, offering effective pain relief acupuncture to patients from Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester, and across the Cotswolds. Mr. Gesheng – Founder

 

Gesheng was born into a family with deep roots in Chinese medicine. His mother was a respected Chinese medicine doctor in Shanxi, China, who established her own private practice in the 1970s. Growing up immersed in this environment, Gesheng began to study with his mother about herbal medicine and acupuncture.  Although Gesheng went on to hold several prestigious positions, he eventually realised that his true passion lay in Chinese medicine. Gesheng furthered his training at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, where he studied TCM osteopathy under renowned TCM master Xue Chuan Jiang, and also studied TCM osteopathy and 

Tuina under Professor Zang Fuke of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In 2000, he spent a year practising in the TCM department of Chui Yang Liu Hospital in Beijing, under the guidance of Dr Wang Chuncheng. 

Today, Gesheng focus on two key areas: exploring the use of common herbs in nutritional supplements, and developing innovative herbal skincare products.
